in my opinion unless you are using TDM FMIC. Smic have shorter intercooler piping do not block your rad and oil cooler you are not forced to cut up your bumper or remove it all together depending on which SMIC you get they will flow more then a FMIC. FMIC will always cost more then a SMIC that flows the same or better If you get a FMIC and want to run a dual intake you have to redirect the intake piping to under the headlights which is better but still something you have to do unless you want to run apexi intakes in the stock location which are horrible. FMIC's also look horrible on a z32 in my opinion as well. There is a flow comparison chart floating around on here maybe someone will post it up. I am sure I am forgetting something here but this is all I can remember.
